The following is quoted from the FoxPro Error Listing Help File in hopes that it might point you in the right direction. <1705> File access denied An attempt was made to write to a file that is write-protected by the MS-DOS ATTRIB command. I suspect Excel opens the file as Read/Write/WriteAccessDenied, therefore Clarion can't open the file as Read/Write? The last error message is "access denied" on the registry, but I see no hint of what the installer is trying to access. I have "full" on administrators and SYSTEM on the top-level registry keys.
